Effective Ways to Turn Failure Into Success
How many times do we hear the stories of those that have tripped from failure into success? It happens all of the time. The truth is, it’s hard. There’s no way around it. The good news is it gets better with time. As long as you’re willing to run the course, the odds are on your side.
Since we’re on this topic, there’s something I need to come clean about. I’ve failed! That’s right, I’ve failed. Not just once or twice, but a multitude of times. I failed so bad that I never thought I could get back up. I would later learn that you’re never counted out. You are the driver and it’s only over, once you say it is.
Many of us have dreams that we’d like to accomplish but many of us fear failure. Instead of seeing failure as a stepping, we sometimes see it as the end. Therefore we steer from it at all costs. One thing we completely forget is the bridge that failure creates to your success.
Turn Failure Into Success Through Lessons
Failure is my best friend. You’re probably wondering why, right? Well that’s because no greater lesson can be learned from outside of failure. No matter what we go through in this world, there is always a lesson. There is always one thing we can take away that contributes to our overall growth.
Our greatest teacher is our past. I’m not saying this to encourage you to live there. I am saying this so that you know that your lessons will always serve as a blueprint to your life if you allow them to.
What are your goals? Where do you see yourself in 1 year, 2 years, or even 5 years? Based on your destination, how you figure out what it requires of you to get there? Better yet, what drives you and motivates you to keep going despite any roadblocks?
Your WHY will be the very reason why you either fail or win. The best way to turn failure into success is by being present. It’s important that you understand the gravity of not getting to your dreams. What would mean to you that you not achieve your dreams? How would you live with yourself?
When you think about why you do what you do, how does it make you feel? Do you feel motivated or do you feel deflated. Remember the motivation is governed by your reason behind the dream. Is it a gain for you or is it for the good of something greater than you? It may not seem like it but success and failure feed off of each other.
Failure is the result of stopping and success is a result of never giving up. So if your WHY isn’t strong enough you might want to revisit it. Your why not only gives you a reason do it all over again, it makes the doing all that worth it at the end.
You Only Fail When You Say You Do
Don’t stop! No matter what you do, just keep on pushing. Don’t ever stop. You stopping is what stands between you and this amazing dream that continues to linger in your head. So keep on going and push right through. The bumps along the way are only assuring that this is really what you want.
The only way to find out? Keep going. You only fail when you say you do. You only fail once you’ve considered yourself to be a failure. And most of the time, it’s never true.
