Powerful Ways to Eliminate Your Self-Doubt

No matter where you find yourself in this world, it’s important to know we all experience a level of self-doubt. It’s not only real, but it’s also crippling. No matter the stage in our lives, it has the ability to seep through.

Areas such as our workplace, friendships, and even relationships can affect our confidence. But along with this a chance at missing out on opportunities. Eliminating such self-doubt is essential to our level of success. It’s all in the mind. Therefore, the thoughts we entertain have the ability to change the world we seek to create.

As you can tell, keeping negative thoughts doesn’t serve our mission. Rather, they create a gap between where we are and where we aspire to go.

I’ll share a few powerful ways that will help eliminate that self-doubt you’ve been holding on to.

Awareness is Everything

Self-awareness is crucial to any aspect of growth, especially in overcoming self-doubt. The more you’re aware of what you’re doing, the better you’ll be able to understand yourself. And the more you’re able to understand yourself, the more you’ll learn. On my continuous journey of living, I learned to not only be the speaker, but also the listener.

If you’re not paying attention to yourself, how are you to tell where you stand at all times. My being aware not only allowed me to see my shortcomings but also allowed me the opportunity to adjust and fine-tune.

Look Inside

It’s important to spend time with yourself, reflecting, looking into the mirror. How else are you able to dedicate time to addressing your insecurities? I ask this because it is from these insecurities, self-doubt is formed. It not only helps understand what you’re going through but also, where it all came from.

Reprogramming from SElf-Doubt

Now that we’re better able to understand ourselves and the sources of our troubles, our journey advances. Through this process, we acknowledge our crippling stories. And from these stories, we look to recover through reprogramming our minds. In order to overcome doubt, we must begin to tell ourselves a story worth living up to.

What is it That Drives You?

When something matters to you, you find a way to make it happen. As Benjamin Disraeli put it, “Nothing can resist a human will that will stake its very existence on its purpose.” What drives you? What keeps you highly motivated and inspired?

This is important because self-doubt tends to creep in when our vibration is low. So to overcome such doubt, it’s important to have something to fight for. Something far greater than ourselves. What makes you do what you do? If it’s money, you might want to dig deeper. I know you can find something more meaningful.

Self-Doubt isn’t Outward

Where are looking to be fed? Too many times do we live seeking the approval of others rather than ourselves. Everyone is different, so are our likes and dislikes. So if you’re looking to find approval from outside sources, you’re in for a rodeo. Look within yourself, the source of your story.

Our seeking approval from outside sources can lead to negative experiences. That’s no way to overcome doubt. Therefore it is important that we keep our minds filled with positivity. Affirm yourself daily, through mediation. I like to wake up every day, being a reminder of the beauty I was created to display. You not only owe it to yourself but your goals and dreams rely on it.
If need be, seek the help you deserve. Whatever you do, don’t waste your time with excuses. The truth is, we all have excuses. The key is to look past the excuses so that the answers to our questions are answered. Looking inward helps you to continue to find the inner strength you possess to push through.

 

Embrace Your Imperfection

You’re imperfect. Embrace it. The faster you embrace your imperfection, the faster you’ll find the perfection within it. Nothing is ever wrong with you for you’re only what you believe yourself to be. So embrace the beautiful short hair, your figure, your current state because you are the standard. There is no format for you to follow outside of you for everything you are is just fine. Overcoming self-doubt is accepting everything you are even when the world fails to see it.

“The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today,” said Franklin Delano Roosevelt. So if we are to get the best out of our tomorrows, it’s important that we savor our todays. Therefore, let not a second, a minute, an hour, or a day pass by without accepting fully the gift that you are. Display confidence. There’s no reason not to be.
