Episode #27 – Live the Best Version of You
No matter what is going on around us, who’s to stop you from living the best version of you? This is far from a trick question so if you’re still asking who, you’re thinking outside of yourself. That’s right, there is no better person to take you across the finish line but yourself. More the reason why you should never be satisfied with where you are.
Always be willing to upgrade yourself from where you are. It’s not that where you are sucks, it’s just that where you’re going is better. And the better version of yourself is who’ll you’ll need to take you there. Who said the power you possessed had to come anywhere outside of yourself? In other words, when you seek anything outside of you you overlook the best part.
It’s like telling a story and leaving out all of the meat, all the juice. The best version of you is not only the questions, it’s the answer. Therefore, anything you want or need relies on your personal upgrade. Where are you at this current moment, versus who you need to be in order to realize the vision that lives inside of you.
You are not only the creator, but you are also the executor. The ability to adjust and upgrade your life as you go is your God-given right so that your dreams are realized. You have everything inside of you to not only envision it but to also see it through. You are highly responsible for the things you have the ability to create. I mean, who better than you to not only design your life but also build it. Do you know what the best part about it is? The best version of you will take you there.
What’s Your Best Version Worth?
We all place a certain amount of worth on ourselves or the things we have to offer. It makes sense that the best version of yourself is dictated by the amount of value you’ve placed on yourself? It’s kind of hard to dig deep when you are unable to see the depths of your treasures.
The thought of digging deep could never make sense unless you’ve found something worth digging for. We’re not always where we need to be or where we want to be, but there’s hope. Just because you are not there yet doesn’t mean you can’t upgrade yourself to that level. It only means that the best version of you is yet to come.
We all have to start at some point in order to get to the next. There is always a starting point. That is not the part you should be worried about. Your goal is to acknowledge where you are so that you can prep the road you’ll be going through. It helps you understand how much more you’ll need from yourself in order to get the best version of yourself.
The goal is not to only seek your best version, but it should always be to constantly find ways to upgrade your current version. The cycle is never-ending, but yet, necessary. One of the most beautiful aspects of life is the opportunity we have to continue to get better. You wouldn’t want to be the same person you were a few years back, would you? I doubt it.
With Constant Growth Comes Constant Change
In order to change any situation, you must be willing to put in the work. You have to be willing to do the work required to bring out the best version of you. Stay in the present because the future is coming no matter what you do. Within that process lies discomfort because to be comfortable is to accept that the work is done. But fortunately for you, the work is never complete.
It’s the constant game of getting better. So the question is, how is the man I am today differ from the man I was yesterday? Every single day presents an opportunity for each and every one of us to improve, upgrading to a better version. Better yet, we should be looking forward to our best version. Anything less than that is a disservice to our path of betterment.
If your growth doesn’t inspire someone around you, there’s a chance you might want to dig deeper. The question I ask myself is, “What do I want to be remembered by? If there was a statue erected in my name, what would the plaque read? How would it define my existence? If I was no longer around to defend myself, how would my actions or course of life define me?”
One thing we should always keep in mind is that we are living a script. This is our movie to life. This our way of filling in the gap, so to speak. In other words, everything we do is contributing to the final scene. The more we dig, the deeper we’ll get, and the more we find, the clearer our story gets. So, no matter where we go or how far we go, the continual upgrade is necessary. Because the more we grow, the more we change for the better.
