Episode #74 – Ways to Attract Calm and Inner Peace in Your Life
The best way to attract calm is by ridding yourself of the noise that exists. Peace is such a beautiful place to live. So much so that, subconsciously, I had been yearning for it my entire life. In other words, the noise of chaos was so familiar that something different felt right.
Finding peace was always an end goal for me, but getting there was never clear. I knew what I was feeling and I knew what I wanted to feel. There was something about the vision in my mind that made it all worth finding.
Although I’ve longed for peace, I never took the time to dive into how it would change my life. After all, I had been searching for it not realizing it was available to me all along. In order to attract the calm, I would need to make space for it to come in.
Due to being driven further and further away from peace, it would require work to get back to it. This effort requires that we choose to be consciously still. Nothing like slowing things down just a bit. It allows you to slow things down just a bit in this fast pace world.
There are many tools available to your finding peace. In other words, there are so many things we can all do to attract calm and inner peace. Finding inner peace is not about searching, it’s more about allowing. That makes it easier for you to find your peace where it resides, within.
If you’re currently on this journey of peace, I’ll share how to be at peace with yourself. We all need peace of mind. Therefore, what better way to start it off byways of meditation?
Finding Peace Through Meditation
I start my mornings with the time I need to present myself peacefully to the world. So, take the time you need for yourself. It only takes about five to ten minutes. Meditation not only helps you start your day right, but it helps start it off the way you want to.
I got into meditation by accident. During the pursuit of my engineering degree, I experienced anxiety every time an exam was presented. It was as if I forgot everything I knew that was actually within me. Despite the time spent studying the anxiety had blocked me from finding peace. And this very peace I would need to calmly and comfortably take back control of my days.
Attract Peace by Vision
What does that life look like to you? Nothing is more powerful at getting you where you need to be than your vision. Your vision is your GPS to helping you find your inner peace. As William Arthur Ward put it, “If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it.”
I don’t know about you, but the vision that I have keeps me excited about life. It’s the same feeling you get as a child when you know that you’re going to your friend’s house. You spend the entire day building up for that moment. Needless to say that it gives you something to look forward to.
What better way to attract calm than by creating the path to it. When we are able to see where we are going, by vision, we find no need to panic. With this vision in hand, we not only know what we’re walking towards, but we also know what it feels like.
How to be at Peace with Where You Are
Where you on your journey? Are you where you need to be? There’s a great chance that if you’re reading this, you’re still searching. If so, then what is currently on your plate? They say to refill your plate you first have to rid yourself of what’s on it.
Therefore, examine where you are and the things weighing you down from finding peace. You may be surprised that the peace you seek may be underneath all of the things you keep. And just a bit of digging can go a long way. For me, I was able to experience more peace the more I unloaded myself of all of the unnecessary.
I don’t know about you, but I need peace. I need peace in my life so that I can get the most out of it. Because when I’m peaceful and present positive energy, I think better. And when I think better, I am able to produce and contribute more. At the end of it all, I just want peace in my life so that I too can have peace with me to give.
