How to Let Go of Things That Bother You Wisely

If you’re faced with things that may bother you, you’re not alone. Based on my personal practices, meditation has been a tool that has helped immensely. If you’ve heard anything about it, then you know the way it contributes to your letting go.

When something bothers you, what are the tools you possess to help overcome it all? It’s important you start letting go of the things that don’t serve you. But how do you begin to start letting go when holding is all you know? How do you start to pick and choose what you allow to bother you more efficiently?

They say where there’s a will there’s a way. Well, let’s share a few of these ways so that we can all start living freely. So the next time something starts to bother you, keep in mind the following:

Little Things Need Letting Go

Life is major. In other words, there are so many moving pieces in this world that contribute to our overall experience. And part of this experience we all have the ability to contribute to. Therefore it is only wise that we start to pick and choose what we place importance on. In turn, we will learn that it is worth letting things bother you.

Devoting your life to a meditation practice is one of the best ways to regain control of what you once gave power over you. Meditation is a daily reminder of all of the food we need. It separates you from the things that dominate your mind. In turn, it allows you the permission to dwell on the things you keep letting bother you.

Be quiet, listen, feel, and allow yourself vision through each breath. The goal is to silence the noise so that you peacefully hear. What is, is only a result of all of the things we believe and accept as true. No better feeling than letting go of thoughts, acts and desires that cloud your mind.

Sitting with Thoughts That Bother You

What is it exactly that you feel is bothering you? How is it feeling? What does it do to you? How are you affected as a result? The best thing you can do is sit with your thoughts and let them be. There will be no need to suppress. Rather, only to acknowledge what it is that’s in front of you.

In doing so, you will learn to find ways to bring you back to center. That is where you are able to think, see, and respond clearly to thoughts that bother you. At the end of the day, it’s all in the breath. After all, that is where life lives. That is where life is awaiting permission to blossom.

Invest Your Energy in the Right Places

The reality is that not everything is deserving of your energy. As a sacred source of life, it’s important that you preserve the energy you possess. Energy cannot be destroyed, but it can be transferred. That is why it is important that you are aware of the energies you surround yourself with.

It’s important that you only breathe life into the things you want to live. Therefore, if someone is being mean to you, the more that becomes the topic of conversation, the more alive it will become. On the other hand, you must be mindful of how you keep away from sources that bother you.

To live doesn’t mean that you are alive. Living is basic. But being alive is taking advantage of every living opportunity. We all have an amazing opportunity to live this life at the highest level we possibly can. So the next time something seems to bother you, ask yourself, “How important is this event, that I may give away complete control over my day?” The answer shall guide you through.
