Don’t Lose Yourself While Trying to Find Yourself
On this journey of figuring this thing called life out, remember to never lose yourself through your navigating and attempting to find yourself. As quoted in Matthew 16:26, “For what will it profit a man if he gains the world, but yet forfeits his soul?” Our mission on this earth can easily be influenced on so many levels. ‘The standard’, I think they call it. Try keeping up with that and you’re bound to lose a few good ones. Life will always find a way to create an obstacle course for you to go through. Through it all, hang in there, never lose yourself.
Constantly being reminded of how important it is to keep up with the standard, ‘the nothing’s ever good enough world’, can take a toll on you just as it does many. It’s easy to lose yourself in these situations, but it’s important to understand that to find yourself isn’t looking for something new. To find yourself is to unveil something embedded within you that you need exposing in order to execute life’s mission. Whether it be an ultimate dream, a milestone goal, or even one of life’s amazing curveballs.
What it Means to Find YOurself
In all honesty, it is only through life’s adventures (I like to call it) can you ever truly find yourself. Nine times out of ten had life not tested us, we’d have no need to tap into our inner resources. A place we access the tools we possess within to successfully navigate through each stage we’re presented with. It’ll be very hard for you to lose yourself when you become aware of the many waves you were born to surf.
You see, the problem is never truly in the adventure we’re presented with, the problem is in our focus. The moment you lose perspective marks the very moment you lose apart of yourself. When you really think about it, the only true problems that exist are the things we label as such. Other than that, life is a beautiful thing, isn’t it? Whatever life throws your way, keep calm and keep going. No matter the course we’re presented with, never forget to feel the life you live.
I don’t know about you, but every time I’ve witnessed a storm, it’d been followed by a ray of sunshine. Know that no matter the magnitude of your adventures (there will be many) stay in control, embrace the moment, and acknowledge that everything you need to proceed is within you.
