To Young Black Boys and Girls: The World is Yours

I am writing this specifically to young black boys and girls of 2020. Although what I am about to write applies to us all, it only feels right to direct it this way. It is with pure intention that I direct it so that, for once, they’re left in. I know the feeling of being left out far too well. Therefore I believe it’s important that I start off by acknowledging you first.

I say the world is yours because you control your destiny. And although society has not a design or a curriculum for you, I’m here to say to you, you are your curriculum. Your destiny lies within you. In the image of your father (the Most High, God, Jehovah, etc.) you were created. And it is from him your powers were provided. It’s embedded within you, it’s in your DNA.

When I say the world is yours, it’s not a cliche, it’s a truth you get to decide. Despite the odds, the powers you possess are far greater. It is at your disposal, you have nothing but to own it.

On my continual mission to that good ol feelin, I had to not only accept what the odds against me were, I had to also accept the advantages to go along with them. By no means am I saying that the advantages were given to me. But what I’m saying is they’re only speed bumps along the way.

Have Faith Young Boys and Girls

You were called on to do something. You might not know what it is yet, but your name is already on it. If you don’t believe me, check out Isaiah 54:14-17 :

14. You will be firmly established in righteousness. You will be far removed from oppression, You will fear nothing and have no cause for terror, For it will not come near you.

15. If anyone should attack you, It will not be at my orders. Whoever makes an attack on you will fall because of you.”

16. “Look! I myself created the craftsman, Who blows on the charcoal fire, And his work produces a weapon. I myself also created the destructive man to bring ruin.

17. No weapon formed against you will have any success, And you will condemn any tongue that rises up against you in the judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of Jehovah, And their righteousness is from me,” declares Jehovah 

It was written long before your existence. Therefore, you owe it to yourself to accept that reality. Your ability to accept the challenge before you knowing the tools inside available to get you through is key. No battle is bigger than any man. I know this because many have and continue to prove that it is till this day.

Black Youth of Gold

The impossibles have mostly been made possible. And the limited have been made limitless time and time again. Record highs have been set, only to be broken. Pain is temporary. It is only a process of getting you to your end goal. Pain isn’t a defeat, it is only an unsuccessful attempt at our greatness.

Young black boys and girls, the world is at your disposal to create whatever it is you want.  Be sure to step into it with your crown on so that you’re reminded of the greatness you possess. So allow your canvas of life to be created by the dreams you want to come true. The very dreams that can only live through you.

We all have something amazing to offer to the world. Meditate, listen to the voice that guides you, and accept the fact that you have everything it takes. Ask yourselves, what is my purpose? What do I truly have to offer? What is it that moves my soul and sets me free? Could it possibly make me feel whole? If I could do anything, what would it be?

This one life you’ve got to live as young black boys and girls, greatness awaits you. What’s that passion inside you’ve failed to feed? The world is yours, not because you own anything significant within it. The world is yours because you make it whole. Your existence and what you have to offer is what makes it so. So make your way into your world, or else they’ll just end up placing you in theirs. But something tells me you’re greater than that!
